Marketing Communications Intern

Tensoft, Inc. is looking for a bright Marketing Intern to assist with a variety of marketing communications projects and processes. This will be a great opportunity for the right person to learn some highly desirable marketing job skills and gain experience in a corporate environment. And, since we routinely hire new college graduates, you'll be able to benefit from interaction with colleagues at many levels of experience.

Position Expectations:

Create email templates in Microsoft CRM for email campaigns to customers, partners and prospective customers. (Instruction will be provided.)
Manage regular schedule of website updates and work with marketing and developers to test updates and approve for publication.
Analyze and publish SEO results for keywords.
Edit/revise blog and social media posts.
Search for relevant content, create drafts for review, and post approved copy to social media sites.

Position Requirements:

Applicants must be currently enrolled and in excellent standing in a 4 year university as an undergraduate or must be a recent graduate of a 4 year university program.
Major in Marketing, Journalism or closely related discipline
Exceptionally strong communication skills, both written and spoken.

Learning and Experience Objectives:

Gain practical understanding of marketing communications.
Gain understanding of the impact of marketing communications on search engine optimization.
Gain experience working in a fast-paced technology company.
Gain experience working with marketing software tools.

Internship Support:

This position will require interaction with marketing, development, outside vendors, and company management. The primary task driven efforts will be provided by the marketing and management
Bi-weekly meetings with company management will provide Q&A opportunities as well as time to solidify the learning experiences.
While we can make no guarantee of employment, we do at times have customers who need personnel, or we may require additional staff internally at Tensoft. For successful internships, we will be happy to provide an employment reference.
If you have other goals/objectives in addition to the ones that we've listed, we've open to discussing them and supporting them, if they're mutually beneficial and fall within Marketing Communications.

Internship Commitment:

The internship will require 16-25 hours per week for 4-6 months. The hours and days are flexible and can be adjusted each semester to fit your schedule. We can also be flexible on the internship length, but ask for a minimum commitment of 4 months.
This is a paid internship, with an hourly stipend. Our expectation is that the intern's relevant work experience will be limited to none, and that the work experience and training provided by Tensoft are valuable. No benefits are provided (except for free snacks, sodas, coffee and tea.) Timecard entry for time worked is required.

Contract and Revenue Accounting Intern

Position Expectations:

Support the software implementation to automate our subscription based customers.
Manage online and hard copy materials related to customer agreements
Create quarterly and monthly invoices for subscription customers
Analyze revenue and margin impact for subscription business
Provide documented feedback related to system operation

Learning and Experience Objectives:

Gain understanding of software and online services subscription models
Gain understanding of software industry revenue recognition models
Gain experience working in a technology company
Gain experience working with business software and software implementation

Internship Support:

This position will require interaction with accounting, systems support, and company management. The primary task driven efforts will be provided by the accounting and systems personnel.
Bi-weekly meetings with company management will provide Q&A opportunities as well as time to solidify the learning experiences.
There is no commitment guarantee, but we do at times know of customers who need personnel or require additional staff internally at Tensoft. For successful internships we will offer what support we can for future employment.

Internship Agreement:

The internship will require 16-20 hours per week, and will last 4-6 months. We can be flexible on the internship length, but do require a minimum of 4 months so that the results stick.
This is a paid internship at $10.00/hour. No benefits are provided with this internship. Timecard entry for time spent is required.
